What Games to Run?

Christopher Salander

Let's flip the question around, from "who will play in my game?" to What Game Would You Like To Play In?  (Was that too loud?)  What period would you like to play?  What style of battle?  Do you want a Napoleonic skirmish game?  How about air combat game using 1889 steampunk?  Perhaps Renaissance era naval combat in the Indian Ocean?  What would bring you out to Saratoga?

Hi Mike,

I will dedicate the Alamo game to Richard Houston's memory. I wonder how many of us owned his artillery or naval accessory pieces.

Sorry for the confusion. My Gmail stacks replies and so its easy for emails to get lost in the shuffle. Here are the players in the order they responded:
1.Alan
2. Jason
3. Pete
4.Mike
5.Mike C
6.Bob Bergman
7. Bill
8.Gary Z

There are 4 Texan players and 4 Mexican players. First RSVPs get first choice of sides. Alan wants to play Texans and Pete wants to play Mexicans. Jason and the Mikes get next choice.

Each Mexican player commands a column against one of the 4 sides of the fort.

His is the only one on the roster and there are only 4 players (up to 8).

Might be a small meeting (but FUN!).

Bob,

I'm very sorry to hear about your stroke.  Did you have any warning signs ahead of time?

I'm glad it was only "minor."  Still, it must have been pretty scary.

I hope you have a quick recovery.

Thanks, Nick.

It will be good to be back in a game after such a long time.

As an aside, I suffered a minor stroke about eight or nine days ago and the
left side of my body is largely numb. It interferes with my ability to use
my left arm and hand, but I'm otherwise okay. I probably won't be running
any games for a while until I regain my strength and use of my hand.

That being said, I'm ready to take part as a fighting Texian, or else a
loyal follower of El Presidente.
